We supply a 1/4 inch stereo XLR chord for balanced use. For high impedance or, unbalanced use any high quality 1/4 inch to 1/4 inch guitar chord. There might be some loss of signal in this mode. Most likely it is not the signal but the amplifier is not designed for the frequencies of your particular instrument.
Remove the battery when not in use for long periods of time. Never store belt pack with mic or chord plugged in.
REPLACING EPROM:
Turn pack so belt clip is facing you. Remove battery cover. There are four screws holding the belt pack together. Remove these 4 screws (see figure 7). Position belt pack so logo is facing you. Carefully remove cover, exposing the circuit board. On the circuit board is a large 24 pin chip. Using a small screwdriver or allen wrench pry chip out of socket, being careful not to damage the pins (see figure 8). Place new chipmaking sure all pins are in the sockets. Press down gently on the chip. Replace cover, and tighten all four screws.
